Giving Back
River City Live welcomed Elo Roofing’s Marketing Director Lisa Wilson and CEO Derek Williams back onto the show to discuss Elo’s involvement in the community. Over the last six months, Elo has pledged $30,000 to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Susan G Komen. On top of these monetary donations, Elo’s staff and leadership team have dedicated hours of volunteer time to these organizations’ causes.
Free Roofs for Those In Need
There are many members of our community who live with roof leaks and continuous damage to their home because they don’t have insurance or the funds to replace their roof. Many of them won’t even get a roof inspection because they know they have extensive damage. Over the past year, Elo has helped two members of the greater Jacksonville community replace their damaged roof. Both of them were military veterans. One recipient was taken by a dishonest contractor and had no way of paying for a roof, and the other inherited his father’s old home and did not have insurance to pay for severe roof leaks.
What’s Next?
In September 2019, Elo will be present at the Susan G Komen More Than Pink Walk in Denver, Colorado. They are in charge of the registration tent for the event. They will also be running the registration tent for the More Than Pink Walk in Orlando in March 2020.
Elo also does a free roof for someone in need one a year, so be on the look out for the next opportunity to nominate someone you know!
