The Top-Rated Asphalt Shingle Roof Contractors in Crescent City

Asphalt shingle roofing is the most common and most affordable option available in Crescent City, making it an excellent choice for a budget-friendly roofing option that delivers a sturdy, reliable roof. It offers a wide array of variations so homeowners are spoilt for choice, and are able to tailor their roof’s finish according to their preferences.

Types of Asphalt Shingle Roofs

With the variety of options that asphalt shingle roofing provides, homeowners are able to achieve a unique look on the home without breaking the bank. These are the asphalt shingle types that roofing professionals like Elo Roofing can install in Palm Coast homes:

Three-tab Asphalt Shingles

Three-tab shingles are the most common type of asphalt shingle roofing, classified by their cutouts which make them look like three separate pieces. They’re affordable, lightweight, easy to maintain, energy efficient, and can last up to 20 years.

Architectural Asphalt Shingles

Laminated with an additional asphalt layer and bonded with asphalt sealant, architectural shingles have a more defined, structural look and are more durable and waterproof than three-tab asphalt shingles. They come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes and can easily mimic the look of more premium roofing alternatives like cedar and slate.

In addition to these types, there are also different materials that your shingles could be made of:

Fiberglass Shingles

Made with a combination of woven fiberglass as the base, asphalt coating, and ceramic granules on top, these materials create a waterproof and UV-protectant shingle while also being extremely lightweight and thin due to its lower amounts of asphalt.

Organic Mat-based Shingles

Organic mat-based asphalt shingle roofing has a recycled felt paper layer for its base. They’ll be heavier, thicker, and slightly more expensive than fiberglass shingles but they’re also more rugged and flexible.

Benefits of Asphalt Shingle Roofs

There are many factors that make asphalt shingles the most popular choice for home roofs. Here are some of its major benefits:

Affordability

An asphalt shingle roof is a fraction of the cost of most other roofing types. Even on the premium end, asphalt shingles will still give homeowners on a budget the best bang for their buck. With proper installation and regular maintenance, a quality roof doesn’t have to break the bank.

Color Variety

It comes in a wide variety of colors as well, ranging from neutrals like shades of grey and brown to more statement-making colors like blue and polychromatic hues. Depending on how much they’re willing to spend, homeowners have the choice of installing asphalt shingle roofing that perfectly emulates wood or slate.

Simple Installation

Both asphalt shingle roof installation and roof repairs are relatively simple since new shingles can be installed on top of existing ones, assuming that there aren’t more than two layers underneath already and that the roof deck is in decent condition.

FAQs About Asphalt Shingle Roof

What’s important to remember here is that costs will vary depending on the type of asphalt shingles you opt for, as well as the roofing contractor and the materials they use. However, you can work on a ballpark of anywhere between $3.50 and $5.50 per sq. ft. to reach a broad estimation.
The average asphalt roof shingles are expected to last around 20 years. Regular maintenance and prompt repairs could help in extending this lifespan.
This is a matter of personal preference together with what works well with the design of the home. Fortunately, asphalt roofing provides a wide variety of colors to choose from to meet those needs. It’s best to discuss your options and ideas with your local roofing service provider before making the decision (which you’ll have to live with for at least the next two decades!).

We had our Spanish Concrete tile roof replaced with Metal Panel roof tiles by Elo Roofing. My first contact was with Dustin. He explained what the process would be and how long it will take. He listened and answered all my questions.A week before, Dustin brought over Kyle who was going to be the project lead. They together sent me the whole plan on day by day activities for the roof tear and install steps. So I knew exactly what I was expecting every day. Both Dustin & Kyle were very respectful, responsive and took care of any minor issues that popped up.I was thoroughly impressed by their dedication. No matter day or time, they always got back to me on my queries. For that I am very thankful & appreciative to both of them.I would most definitely recommend Elo Roofing, Dustin & Kyle in your roof replacement journey.

I had a very good experience with ELO Roofing. The salesman was knowledgeable and helped me every step of the way. He walked me through the whole process from what I needed, insurance coverage, and permits. He really made it easy for me. Once everything was scheduled they arrived promptly on the scheduled date to drop off materials. The workers arrived early the next day and worked tirelessly the whole day finishing up around 6:00. They were thorough in cleaning up all materials and debris. I’m so happy to have my roof complete!
