Types of Tile Roofs We Install

Tile roofs cover a broad range of products including clay tiles, concrete tiles, and synthetic tiles. The tile roofing specialists at Elo Roofing will be thrilled to walk you through the options and decide which one is best for your Jacksonville home.

Clay Tile

Clay tiles have been around for centuries and are one of the most traditional roofing choices on the market. This material is made from clay that is baked into durable tiles to provide a roof system that offers exceptional protection against the elements and money-saving insulation for your home. Clay tiles come in a wide variety of shapes that you can choose from to get exactly the look you want for your roof.

Concrete Tile

Concrete tiles are manufactured from a mixture of sand, cement, and water that is molded under heat and pressure to create a durable and highly customizable tile. Concrete can be molded into different shapes and styles and painted which makes them an excellent choice if you’re looking for a long-lasting roof that can match any aesthetic.

Synthetic Tile

One problem with traditional clay tiles and concrete tiles is their weight. This can make them difficult to transport and install and may require additional structural support to be added to your home. With synthetic tiles you don’t need to worry about that! These tiles are lightweight and easily installed without sacrificing any of the durability or beauty of natural tiles.

Why Choose Tile Roofing?

When you’re trying to decide which roofing system will work best for your home you’ll want to know the benefits of the roofs you’re looking into. Tile roofing offers a wide range of advantages that homeowners can count on.

Low Maintenance

Once your tile roof is installed it’s a very low-maintenance option. There are very few maintenance tasks that are required to keep your roof in great condition aside from keeping it clean and scheduling prompt repairs if you happen to notice any damage.

Longevity & Durability

When you opt for a tile roof you can count a roof that will stand the test of time and can hold up to the often harsh, local weather conditions. A well-installed and maintained tile roof can last upwards of 50 years and is resistant to pests, fire, rain, and high winds.

Sustainability

Is being environmentally conscious at the top of your list for a new roof. Tile roofs are an environmentally friendly material that have little landfill contribution at the end of their long service lives.

Elo Roofing is your local Jacksonville, FL roofing company committed to providing the community with only the best in tile roofing. We’ll assist you every step of the way, and our top-rated team is sure to do excellent work. Tile Roof FAQs

Keeping your roof free from algae and mildew as well as replacing broken tiles whenever you notice them will go a long way towards keeping your tile roof in good shape. We also recommend an annual inspection so you can be sure to catch any problems before they get out of control.
Nothing is perfect, so there are certainly some problems with tile roofs. The most common complaint is the cost – tile roofs aren’t cheap. Depending on the tile you choose, tile roofs can also be somewhat brittle when improperly handled which is why it’s necessary to find an experienced contractor to take care of your roof.
Absolutely! Clay and concrete release heat instead of absorbing it which will provide a more comfortable temperature in your home and lower cooling costs to boot!

Tried to get a quote and these guys had no idea what they were doing. Also tried to charge me 200 dollars for a water test to see where the water was coming from, mind you we knew where the area was. Then they said we should redo our whole roof. Hired anthor company all I needed was silicon in a vent area that had not been done. A 20 dollar fix was going to become a 25,000 dollar job with these guys. This is why I’m writing this negative review, because when I found out the problem, I realized elo was trying to scam me out of thousands.

Dustin and Victoria are rockstars! Several companies came out and Dustin was as transparent and gave us a fair price and despite being in the midst of storm season they were able to do a full replacement rather quickly. Good service and good people

I would give them five stars for their master craftsmanship on the roofing itself, but unfortunately, their foreman fell short on communication regarding additional charges.
Buyers BEWARE..... No follow-up after multiple attempts to contact them, and a missed appointment with no call or effort to reschedule. Unacceptable, Elo Roofing. They originally came out to repair a roof leak and patched the area. Unfortunately, the roof continued to leak. When we called them back, they tested it by spraying the roof with our hose and said everything was fine. We were also told the discoloration on the ceiling was from the original leak. However, we had cleaned and bleached that area back to normal. Fast forward, and we’re trying AGAIN to get them to come out and assess the repair. Not only is the roof still leaking, but the shingles weren’t even placed in the correct area. The leak is circled in the photo, and the repair is… well, we’ll let you be the judge. Things happen, but communication and follow-through are basic parts of running a business. We’re hoping the Better Business Bureau can help get this resolved since we haven’t had any luck getting a response.

ELO was very easy and helpful fixing a leak at a vent stack on roof, and while they were at it also did an overall roof tuneup. Victoria got things going and Dustin took great care of us. Good people!
